Oh come on....I'm from W.Va. Most of us hill-billies aren't so touchy. A sense of humor is a good thing.

From another post: "...the tooth- brush was invented in WV -- If in any other state it would have been named the teeth brush." I'm sorry; this was hilarious. Most of my relatives are missin' most of theirs but they are still wonderful, law-abiding, God-fearing people. I'm proud of them. :~) Are there any 'inbreds' in the family tree? Maybe/probably. Who cares.

We south Texans get our share as well. I'm also half Polish, 1/4 Irish, so you can just imagine. But you're right about the sense of humor.

On the other hand, people like Cheney are "truth in humor" people, so I can't say that he really meant it in jest. On that score, he needs to apologize.

"You can say those things when you're not running for re-election."

Nice. I like to remind my daughter that good manners are better than good looks.
