The new testament does NOT state an 'eye for an eye' nor does it encourage or condone violence against your neighbor of any sort. The new testament does NOT condone killing of others if they don't convert, so you really are talking apples and oranges here. Plus, didn't Jesus support the old testament laws? And those laws were god's laws with provisos:

"will stand FOREVER"
"will be a statute FOREVER"
"EVERLASTING covenant"
"EVERLASTING statute"
"PERPETUAL covenant"
"PERPETUAL ordinance"
"THROUGHOUT your generations"

etc...

So quoting from the New Testament that contradicts the old testament...contradicts the god that decreed them.
