BitDrifter says: Europe: Muslims there suffered unemployment and felt marginalised. US: Muslims have a positive view of US society... their communities are excellent or good places to live. [They] express satisfaction with the state of the nation. This is a great clip Bitdrifter. The number of POPs it received is clearly indicative of the fact that this information is not welcomed news to those with a hate- America agenda. This clip should resonate and be popped by everyone. Sometimes the lack of POPs says more about a clip than an abundance of POPs. This peculiarity has had my attention since my first days here at Clipmarks. Oh crud...listen the situation (so far) between Europe and the U.S. when it comes to immigration of are very similar. Some Europeans feel about Muslims immigrants as many feel about immigrants from Mexico and Central America. Muslims communities in the U.S. are small and well connected (at least in places like Dearborn Michigan). I bet you that if Mexico was south of Italy and North Africa bordered the U.S. it would be the same. Racism in Europe is on the rise (as I personally witness on my last visit to Spain). I bet you that if you compare what people say about Muslim immigrants and Mexican immigrants, they would pretty much sound the same. Sometimes clippers just don't see a clip, Willhelm. I think it's a great clip, very interesting, but I also never saw it the first go-round. I don't know what you are talking about Ratlifar. I love immigrants from Mexico and everywhere else for that matter. They appreciate this country more than many that are born here. It is the Illegal intruders I have a problem with and the companies that hire these workers below fair wages and perpetuate a modern day form of voluntary servitude. Sometimes clippers just don't see a clip, Willhelm. I think it's aYou slacker. Your love aside, much of the immigration issue on both sides of the Atlantic is motivated by the same thing, money. People want a better life and are willing to sacrifice a lot to get it, like risking drowning on the high seas or death on the empty desert ( thing is dehydration is the main killer in both cases). People don't do this for kicks or because they want to be law breakers, they do it to survive. And similar attitudes are expressed by those that oppose them. I really don't know what your point is other than stating the obvious. Everyone wants a better life. That does not give on the right to steal or break the law. Steal? What are they stealing? health benefits, identities, welfare benefits, education, housing, social security #s, document fraud, lives, food stamps, jobs. Wait their working and paying taxes (including Social Security taxes that they never see again) so my guess is that their not stealing much of anything. You get those things in most countries for being poor, not an immigrant. Did they take your slot in the food stamp line or something? They DO NOT pay taxes. Companies cannot report fraudulent SSNs to the Fed gov't ,so they are unreported and those of us that do pay taxes pay the bill for everything else they take. The burden is breaking the budgets of some programs at times when we are having record surpluses. Now the surpluses are used to subsidize the illegal activity. Not to mention the medical crisis. Anyway , you clearly aren't aware of anything about this issue and you are in character with your ridiculous comments. They do pay taxes, including property taxes, I know because I have worked with immigrants. They do get the money discounted from their checks. You can not own home in the U.S. unless you pay the property tax, you can't get a check without Social Security getting its cut. If the employers are not forwarding that money to the right authorities then you should look to them and not the workers. And thank you for elevating the discourse by calling my comments ridiculous. I really appreciate that. Of course this comes from a person that gets his news from Glen Beck, so I guess it balances out. They do pay taxes, including property taxes,OK, Now I know you have absolutely NO frickin clue what you are talking about ! As usual ! Your pretense is pitiful. In fact, one of the main selling points for the Illegal-immigration bill was to account for those working here to be able to collect taxes. However, most do not even earn enough to pay taxes. You cannot own property without credit, you cannot get credit without a bank account, you cannot get a bank account without a social security card (in most cases). Well I lot of banks offer accounts without the need for a Social Security number, at least those around heavy migrant worker areas in Michigan. A lot of them don't earn enough to pay taxes, but is that their fault or their employers fault? And I also know that while many have come here illegally, they are trying by many means to become legal and those that do and can get better jobs do contribute to the economy. They work themselves out of welfare. But all you see is the word "illegal" and that I guess is all there is to it. Thank you for telling me how you feel about me, its been enlightening. |
