Oh, boy, did we ever hack off Vincent lovers back in 1965. As detailed in my May editorial, Cycle World track-tested a 1955 Black Lightning, legendary Brit V-Twin speed merchant, to mark the tenth anniversary of the Vincent-H.R.D. factory shutting down.

It seems almost forever ago when I was stationed in the south of Germany as a fighter pilot, and spent many many happy hours tooling around the the Black Forest on my Vincent Black Shadow ...... sigh

Socratoad - happy hours tooling around the the on my Vincent Black Shadow. Wow, what a great place to be on that VBS. I t is my understanding that the hospitality was great there in the Black Forest. I often break out laughing thinking about some of my adventures on this ride we call life.
