pokkets says: Written in the third person, by 'Equality 72521' The story is one of a search for freedom, where the meaning of the word has been lost. Today there is often talk of the value of capitalism. As time passes, it is becoming a privilege of the very few who have it by the throat, and allowing the life to pass from any other's opportunity. It is becoming a dirty alibi. Anyone beneath the elite is subject to the principles of socialism. Ayn Rands Magnum Opus is 'Atlas Shrugged, where she explores political themes which would subsequently develop into the Philosophy of Objectivism Sounds like a good book. Thanks for sharing. Ooo...I might add that next on my list...I'm reading The Fountainhead at the moment. Four of Ayn Rands books (Anthem, Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, The Virtue of Selflessness) can be freely donwloaded from Bookyards at http://www.bookyards.com/biography.html?author_id=4834&author_name=Rand%2C%20Ayn I highly recommend "Anthem". When I was teaching a literature class at a homeschool co-op, this was one of the books I insisted that all the students read. It's just a tad longer than short story and a good read (about a day if reading non-stop). Everyone in my household who can read, has read it or had it read to them. If you like sci-fi novels or pro-freedom/anti-fascism literature (i.e. 1984, Brave New World), this should be right up your alley. |
