religion has always been a way to enslave the masses. But like horus, jesus and many other similar gods is just about the calendar of the sun and nothing else.

"Jesus and many other similar God's" My dear friend there is only ONE God, that is the God who created the heavens and the earth, all other "god's" pail into isignificance because they are have been created in the imagination of man's mind.

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

Brace yourself norfolkman the 'rabid atheists' on Clipmarks cannot resist taking a dump on each and every Christian-related clip. Driven as they are by their pathological hatred they simply cannot control themselves.

If people wish to disagree with me then that's fine, we all have the right to disagree with each other, what we do not have the right to do is to say someone is a fool because they disagree with us, like Sptehen Dawrkins has done.

All the Atheists I speak with have not read the gospels. They talk alot about all the other deities in history whose birthday is Dec. 25 or born of a virgin, and many other similar facts.

You aren't a fool for disagreeing with me, morf. You're a fool because you're a fool. I've got nothing to do with it.

We are all fools if we think we have control of our own lives.

Just as we are if we believe in a beneficent creator welcoming us to heaven and answering our measly prayers.

When all one's sights are inward, altitude is not a plausible option.

People will argue about Jesus Christ and Who He is forever...but I have never doubted that there is a God. As the Scriptures say, He is revealed through His creation. The Earth and the Universe attest to His reality. The formation and birth of a baby, the workings of the human body are marvels of His glorious and majestic creative works.

I'd say at least 70-80% of the christians I have spoken to havent either.

Infact the odds are good that I have read more of the bible than most christians.
Now if that strikes you as strange, I'm not suprised, but while I don't follow any religions it they do fascinate me.

I've read Many works of fiction but that doesn't mean I'm going to start worshipping "Goldilocks" or " The BFG" now does it?

To keep healthy philosophical debate open.

Do you believe in the divine plan?
If so then don't you think praying is a little arrogant? What if your prayer goes against it and then what about the next persons and the next etc?

If I was an all powerful being, I would in fact get pretty well annoyed by people always calling in and asking me to adjust it for them.

So, this means that most arguments between Christians and Atheists are just babble. Kind of like the arguments between Liberals and Conservatives. A whole lot of hot air goin' on!
