Brooks Alberta was officially established in about 1910 with that area originally being buffalo hunting ground for the tribes of Blackfoote and Crowe. In the 1970's and the 1980's Brooks Alberta saw significant growth due to its oil and gas industry. Brooks Alberta is not a large town, but they have lots to offer and it's a truly beautiful part of the country. It is also close to Dinosaur Park which is the world's largest deposit of late crustaceous dinosaur fossils. It is also located near Lake Newell which is a popular spot among fishermen and campers. This is a beautiful and peaceful place to go if you need a vacation away from things.
