ljsdesign says: Does anyone have any advice that might help or things that you wish your parents had understood better? I just found out my 6 year old son has a vision problem and will need eyeglasses. I wear glasses on occasion for eyestrain but never had glasses as a child. I started wearing them in fifth grade. Does that count? I remember walking out of the Drs. offices and being amazed at the sight of the individual leaves on trees. I've never again had such a feeling of astonishment. It most certainly counts and is appreciated, Bear I think I was in 4th grade when I got glasses. I felt the same way, Bear. Amazed at all the stuff I was missing. The only thing I didn't like about glasses was swimming. I got them in the 3rd grade from reading in the dark before bedtime. I always thought that they made me look smart, even though the frames were a hideous shade of pink and the lenses took covered my face from the forehead to the jawline. |
