I dunno; it's bothersome to me. Bravo for the man to have the courage to take his fate in his own hands, and to put even his final act to a good purpose of education that others might have the same choice as he. May a pox be on those who would deny me of that dignity in my own life based on their own fears and superstitions. You can see it here. Well said BB. Lots of choices are made by humans that result in death. The gun lobby argues for free choice, to just mention one suss mob. We let our kids drive and nearly become religious when they are out. Choice. A suffering person has no choice. Those watching a suffering person share. But they may prolong to prevent loss. Love gives freedom, hate chains. "Love gives freedom, hate chains." Wonderful thought, tabs. I read about this on yahoo news. Saw the clip that Aklimento provided. It was a sad thing to watch. I respect his right to make his choice, but I don't think this needs to be televised. I guess that's their decision as well, though. If showing live births isn't inappropriate, I suppose showing death cannot be either - if it's done correctly and with the right intent. Not sure how I feel about this one. But it's the guy's choice and he made it so, for better or worse, he will have to answer for it - not me. Very thought-provoking to say the least. |
