I think the irony was missed.

BUT THERE ARE POLAR BEARS OUT THERE ADRIFT, YOU GUYS!! I SAW IT IN A MOVIE!!
We have to give up our light bulbs, cars, a/c units, breathing, corn fields, gas, non-reusable batteries, cows, and common sense. But damn do we love freedom!

Do all those things represent freedom? Seems a rather shallow representation of freedom. I also would like the freedom to breath the air, drink the water and eat food without worrying that it will make me sick. Environmentalism is about us, not about the Polar Bears, they are the symptoms, we are the ones that catch the disease.

I don't think the original statement was ironically intended. However, I did clip it with a sense of irony, b/c it clearly shows that folks on either side can take their views too far; to the point where no one wants to stop and listen to each other, they just want to focus on demonzing anyone who might think differently

Hell no, Ratilifar. A government that intrudes into your day to day life and tells you what you can buy and how you should act, based solely on a failed scientific theory has absolutely nothing to do with freedom.
