This is the young woman executed in Iran after receiving a dubious conviction. Besides the problems with her conviction, it is in direct violation of international law, as the offense in question was committed when she was 17. It is hard not to consider this a desperate act by her captors to silence the voice of their malfeasance.

The courts refused to consider new evidence that her lawyer said would have proved she could not have committed the murder.
