If the girl was in some kid of harms way that would be a different story, but it sounds like she already excels. Let the courts worry about the kids who are being abused, starved and otherwise in danger and stop worrying about what religion they are being raised under. The child will have the choice to change when they leave home should they chose, or to explore other religions, etc. Personally, if I were the parent I would tell the judge where to stick the decision, and then proceed to move out of that state. I do hope the appeal works for the family, otherwise this sets a very bad precedent. |
