This is fascinating, willhelm. The cycle does appear to be coming true. But what is truly scary is that if the cycle holds true to form, we are about to enter the bondage phase. Could there be a civil revolution on the horizon?

I believe that if we don't keep the revolution that's just begun --- going, we'll be destroyed as a Republic.

merrie, do you believe there is a revolution in the making? All I hear is rumbling and grousing about the direction our political system is taking. Admittedly that's how a revolution takes root but it seems to me there is still too much apathy among the populace for a true revolution to get its footing.

I would like to see political changes made that would result in voters feeling as though we have a true voice. Right now no matter who we put into office it is the political machine behind the man or woman who dictates how issues are handled, leaving us to feel as if we just got taken for another ride.

And while I am wishing, I would like to see a huge shift towards ethics and responsibilit...

We need to walk through the storm. First we must face the storm. You are right ...Washington is corrupt beyond repair. That is why I would like to see the demise of the Republican Party. I am as sure as I am of anything that a better, more libertarian and ethical party will emerge. That is the ONLY chance for rebirth. The sooner we kill the Republican party, the better.

thanks for your response, willhelm. I'm glad you have faith that a better system can emerge. It makes me feel a little less naive in hoping for something better.
