According to the second law of thermodynamics such a planetary machine can never exist.

According to the second law of thermodynamics life should not exist either - when you misunderstand the reference frame as the authors of this paper have. Anyone can post to an arXiv whatever they want - it is not peer reviewed science (as this paper shows).

I haven't finished reading the entire paper as of yet. I will say that your comparison of the second law of thermodynamics as it relates to the physical properties of climate to the second law of thermodynamics as it relates to the existence of life speaks volumes about the faith required to believe in anthropogenic global warming.
