Twilyght Zone says: I am all for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, but when does that cross a line? I can understand protesting the war, and while I do not agree with what this church is claiming I would have to support its right to say it, however, there is a limit, in my opinion it is indecent and disgusting to do this at a funeral. They claim they are a church, well whatever it is they worship obviously has no compassion or sense of decency. The whole thing disgust me. The truth is, every reasonable human being sees these hatemongers for what they are. And, unfortunately, the freedom that we have in this country also allows these wackos to make idiots of themselves. Fortunately, I don't think anyone takes them seriously. Unfortunately, they reflect badly on religion as a whole. they reflect badly on religion as a whole.I think also that reasonable people understand , whether they are religious or not, that these wackos as you so nicely put it, are not representative of mainstream religion. It does however give ammunition to the extremist's on the evolutionary side of things. |
