I grew up with the notion that you had to be "good" to get to heaven. The bible teaches us that no matter how "bad" you have been, you are still able to get to heaven simply by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Some denominations would have you believe that you also have to do good works (go to church every Sunday, give money, etc.) to be saved. The scriptures quoted above clearly show these "works" doctrines to be false.

There is nothing we can do to be worthy of God's grace. We have separated ourselves from God through our sin. Mankind exists in a fallen, imperfect state. We have no possibility of living sin-free lives. We are now infected and there is no act or work we can to do to make ourselves worthy. The sin of the world has been washed by the blood of Christ. This is our salvation. Pride in good deeds gets us nowhere. The good deeds resulting from our obedience and proper reflection on God's word brings honor to God.
Sohil, to answer your question directly. A true faith in Christ is accompanied by a life that reflects obedience to the Word of God.
However, this does not mean one is without sin. I do ...

However, if this man were to commit these crimes and later come to Christ in true and real sense, then yes, I believe he is saved.
