Today I can't turn on the news without hearing about murder, rape, suicide, terrorism, war and yet when I turn on a few public news or foriegn news chaneles it's so different there is no big scare or huge dager there is death and all that but they don't exagerate and they get to the point. They don't go over some sort of political crap they try to set for as they do on the regular new like FOX CNS and more. Those are the real terrorists. I agree DLM. It seems that the GOP's strategy is wearing thin. Six years of panic is difficult to maintain before habituation occurs. Why more people don't take the simple step of taking a deep breath and looking at the facts of "terrorism" they would see that there are many more threats in the world that are much more relevant to their lives. In many ways the news media is complicit in fostering this paranoia. As a parent I relate to stories of kidnappings and child murders but this is all emotional and not rational. The odds are vastly against this happening and simple precautions further reduce these odds to an extremely low level. Yet we continue to see panic among people being exploited... The most Ironic thing is that Osama Bin Laden would have never pulled out 9/11 without the CEO training America gave him allowing him to have an interment knowledge of our systems, strangly however no one seems to worry about this we often set up dictators in and train gorrila soldiers in areas and times that come back to haunt us yet before the begging of the Iraq war propaganda was set about and only about two people spoke out against it and they were threatened by the government told to shut up and now what do we have Oh scooter-libby |
