I hear people go on and on about passive smoking, and they've got a point, but I never hear them talk about how exhaust and industrial pollution contribute. The comment you made about ship pollution has been something I've been thinking. Sure I smoke, but I don't drive or own a car. (being a lead footed epileptic can be dangerous) I stopped driving in the interests of public safety. All of the money I save on petrol I can spend on cigarettes. Sometimes I think anti smoking campaigns are led by ex smokers who need something to convince themselves that giving up was a good idea. I think it's reasonable to ask permission in anyones house, go outside generally, and throw butts in the bin...
