Interesting. I like to see patterns emerging in technology trends.
This one makes sense, but the fact is that there are many different types of solar panels, including solar thermal and solar hot water, that are already competitive.

Glad to see the cost of solar coming down, although i agree that converting solar straight to specific types of energy can be much more efficient than just generating straight electricity.

True. Like using solar thermal to generate straight to AC current. This cuts out the need for an inverter.
