I've spanked my children (ages 24 and 11), but I could count the total of how many times total I've done it, with both, with fingers to spare. Open hand, on a clothed bottom. More shock value than any actual pain. It was a method of last resort, in extreme circumstances. Effective, and my children and I have excellent relationships. Based on the bible, beating children is nothing; there's more. Much more! For instance: God will force parents eat their own children. Breaking the (bad) will is breaking rebellion, defiance, stubbornness, breaking the sin against God and his commands! A good, hard spanking in a controlled and calm manner leads to good, humble and modest children that are released from inside tensions. Make them obedient, don´t let them become little, uncontrollable tyrants. You will successfully win the battle! Try it and praise the Lord for it! God bless you all!  |
