One of the main advantages of the PlayStation 3's online component is its price: It's free, man. Like, totally free. Like, no monthly payments to Microsoft for the pleasure of paying to play the game system we <EM>already bought</EM>.</p> <P>The free-ness is a perk 360 owners would love, but, sadly, according Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network operations, the service might not remain priceless forever.</p> <P>“Microsoft had a year jump on us for the launch and essentially we’re offering a lot of the same stuff... We’re not charging money for our service. That’s a key differentiating factor...Right now that’s our model.
