gemfemfox says: How is tens of thousands of people descending on DC on a Saturday, NOT news? Did you see this covered anywhere? I've found it with FoxNews and NY Times. What about this video? http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/A9847798-FF90-4262-AD4D-0099C58CFA0D/ Now I wonder... Damn. Who is the "pants on fire" Wiccan? and what do you wonder about billpar? Maybe my blonde dye is just leaching into my head, but the vagueness of the comments leaves me wondering exactly what you two mean. "Pants On Fire" is the story rating. billpar, the "Pants on Fire" is about the photo, not a video. Wiccan, you may be absolutely correct about the stated photo stated in the article you reference, but you do not know if THIS photo has anything to do with that. This was from the New York Times article. Note that it does not contain any of the points of reference listed in your article. Love to be "discredited" with an article that has NOTHING to do with the photo or story I clipped. THIS photo is NOT the photo referenced as a misleading picture (real picture, wrong day - by a lot and I don't condone lying to the public). There were *tons* of people there...period. And their purpose was to send a message to Washington that they (and many of us who couldn't be there) are fed up with their irresponsibility with OUR money. They may own those media outlets but the internet frees us to see things they refuse to report. They want to keep us in the dark and assuming that we are inconsequential. They can only guess-timate anyway. The PolitiFact specifically mentions the NY Times article you clipped, even if this was not one of the photos they used. They didn't discredit the assertion that "tens of thousands" of protesters were there. The article you referenced only said that ONE picture on a Conservative blog was being used and that THAT picture was misleading. Calling me a liar for stating the truth is ridiculous. There WAS a rally, and by and large the MSM has completely ignored it. What part of those two things are lies? I didn't call you a liar. "Pants on Fire" was the PolitiFact rating of the overall overhype. If you read my comments on Clipmarks, I cite the Clips, NOT the Clipper. |
