Crows are great birds. This doesn't suprise me as within ancient pagan folklore the Crow is a messenger for the spirit world, and is said to be responsible for carrying the souls of the dead into the afterlife. That game of spot the crow is hard. lol. the first time i got it in two attempts but the next two times it took me 4 attempts on each try. lol. Crows are incredibly smart. They remember the good things too. Give them peanuts and they will squawk whenever they see you. Plus, they can raise undead mimes of vengeance.  Ya, but we already knew that i always liked crows...unless of course there are 50 of them outside your bedroom window at 5:00 in the morning cawing their fool heads off. I had a crow sat next to a few times on a park bench when I ate my sandwiches. When it spoke it reminded me of James Stewart. (I'm better now). Remember the story of the crow who put pebbles in a bowl one by one to raise the water level..so he could drink the water? They are incredibly smart...and they know when I sneak out to put food in the feeder...Blue Jays know too...seems they wait for me...and are always feeding within 30 seconds of filling the feeder. Did you read about the crows that drop hard shelled nuts on a crosswalk so the cars would run over them and crack them. Once the light changes they fly down and eat. we've often seen them take dry bread and dip it in a bird bath, or puddle to wet it. |
