I'd guess cinnamon might be a common use of that third piece, but really it is anyone's guess. I have a fairly large shaker collection, and only one set is apparent in its completeness of three pieces, as they are nested. These shown here are more obviously novelty pieces.

I don't use salt when I cook myself, so I was thinking pepper, paprika, and garlic powder .. those are my most used. I love novelty shakers, cookie jars .. all kinds of kitchen accessories.

I call my grandaughter cupcake. Last year I managed to find and purchase from Craigs List an over-sized cookie jar shaped like a cupcake. The top looks like frosting covered with multi-coloured sprinkles and a cherry for the knob to lift the top off. I used to have some cute little cow creamers and some cute little salt n' pepper shakers but they got lost or broken in all the moves I've made.
