I'm no supporter of the church-state, and want them to remain separate for everyone's benefit. But GIVEN that, I sure as hell don't want ANY kowtowing to Islam. Christianity is "just" a religion, trying to infuse itself into government as theocratic. Islam is NOT "just" a religion but is also a system of government. It is inherently a state-religion with it's own set of laws meant to gove... I wouldn't necessarily agree with that Aces. Every religion has rules and laws that govern its followers. Islam is a religion just like any other religion. What about the Crusades? The Spanish Inquisition? Islam is not alone in its violent history. You can use any religion and base a government around it -- and it has been done. If Republican, fundamentalist, Christian right-wingers have their way none of us would be freedom loving liberals.
