ابن خلكان در " وفيات  الاعيان " نوشته  است كه سری  گفت : سی  سال‏

است كه از يك جمله " الحمد الله " كه بر زبانم جاری شد استغفار می‏كنم‏

. گفتند : چگونه ؟ گفت : شبی حريقی در بازار رخ داد ، بيرون آمدم  ببينم‏

كه به دكان من رسيده  يا نه ؟ به  من گفته شد به  دكان تو نرسيده است  .

گفتم : الحمد لله .  يك مرتبه متنبه  شدم كه گيرم  دكان من آسيبی  نديده‏
