debbyski says: "Most conservatives are more careful than Mr. Kristol. They try to preserve the appearance that they really do care about those less fortunate than themselves. But the truth is that they aren’t bothered by the fact that almost nine million children in America lack health insurance. They don’t think it’s a problem." But they already have access to health care...... through the emergency room door. debbyski - your concept of care is limited by observation and not experience... there are many ways to care and and the whole range of actions that I've seen : 1. say you do 2. do something about it 3. say you do and do something about it 4. do something and tell no one 5. pay someone to do it for you (the cheap way out in my opinion) so, debbyski which have you done? rdyjon, what basis do you have for questioning debbyski's compassion? The clip and opening remarks are all quotes from the original article, which she has presented for comment; she has not placed any of her opinions here. So on what basis do you derive an understanding of her concept of care? You assume a lack of experience on her part, yet you have not presented us with your own credentials for making such judgements. So I turn the question back on you -- what have you done? Can you give us any reason to believe that your statement comes from authority and is not baseless or hypocritical? |
