Silkweaver says: The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics awards prizes for the best papers presented each year. Last year’s winner went to a paper authored by physicist Jochem Hauser, calling for experimental tests of Heim’s theory. “This hyperdrive motor,” Hauser said, “would propel a craft through another dimension at enormous speeds. It could reach a star eleven light years away in just eighty days.” This sounds like science fiction, but seems to invoke more than the usual interest from policy makers. I'm going to print this out (when I get some ink for my printer) and give it to my granddaughter someday. She talks about being an astronaut someday. Her step-dad to be wants her to work in a bank. She's a smart girl and right now math is her favourite subject and she likes science too. Perhaps she will open the first intergalactic bank... Nevertheless being an astronaut is much more fun. Printer, ink, paper? We talking about propulsion jet in Internet era, tanyamm. Send her link to this article in e-mail. We are already in a future. Or at least on the way to... Yes I could e-mail it to her but she is only 7 years old and would her mother have the time and patience to read it to her and explain it. I don't think so. |
