It is also reported that the church's response to the teenager's death has been to conduct "intensive sessions" with so-called ethics officers, whose job is to question Travolta and other family members to determine if their "negative influences" caused the tragedy.

I feel so bad for him. I can't even begin to imagine how sad and terrible it is to lose a child.

My co-worker, who has an adult autistic son, says "shades of 40 years ago" when they blamed the parent (usually the mother) for the condition.

I hope he decides whatever sensitive information they have on him is worth risking making public, and he walks away. If it saves one child from Jett's fate, it would be worth it.
