citizenbfk says: Republicans are going full tilt trying to smear Obama. This is just one sustained example. In fact, there is also evidence that links Republicans to voter fraud, but far less coverage of that. They would like to win the election by painting Obama as if he's doing voting fraud, as if he's linked to 'domestic terrorist,' as if he's getting vast amounts of funding from Arab sources, etc. They are appeal to hate and fear; hate and fear and no substance behind it at all; and no substance to actually work for the interests of the American people (or the world). Compared to these fabrications we can see the realities of: False War; Failed Economy; a FEMA government. Also note, this clip makes it clear that ACORN supervisors were following the rules requiring them to submit all voter registration cards AND dutifully pointing out ones they themselves suspected as fraud. Thus, Republican false attacks not only wrong, but deliberately deceitful. Vote Obama; it's a necessary Oh yeah - flagged by ACORN itself. Right after being threatened with going to jail for trying to rig votes. Interesting how the idea of actually going to jail concentrates the mind. Funny how some people just can read what's in front of them. They flagged those cards, all on their own, without any threats of jail. Unlike Right-Wingers, Left-Wingers don't have to be threatened with jail to do the right thing. There's your mistake right there, ColoradoRight. To make it clear, ColoradoRight, darkforce's suggestion that you read the article, for the reasons he stated, would at least make your views more well-informed. Not that this would make much difference, I suspect. Left-Wingers don't have to be threatened with jail to do the right thing.I have to agree...left-wingers will NEVER do the right thing, you can take that to the bank. Sorry dl211, it's blind patriotism that is NEVER the right thing. It's blind patriotism that allows people like Hitler (or lying fools like Bush...who couldn't even kill bin Laden and has sunk us into years of war in the wrong place for the wrong reasons).... ....you can take that to the bank. Sorry dl211, it's blind patriotism that is NEVER the right thing. You confuse patriotism with being brain-washed, people regardless of party who will never concede no matter what evidence is presented. There are extremists on both sides - those that can never admit their side is wrong. I think it's painfully obvious which side exceeds in that category. Yes, it is painfully obvious. Harper is the one who refuses to admit he's been wrong; who blunders on blindly, confident that his condescending smirk will solve everything. Although, it is good to see that you admit to being brainwashed. That's a step in the right direction. Blind patriotism is not patriotism at all. Patriotism means love of one's country. Patriotism is the opposite of being brainwashed. Blind alleged patriotism is how people like Hitler come into power -- or lying warmongers like Bush & Cheney and their neocon neofascist buddies who *&(*$%& go to war based on deliberately fabricated lies. You know...like WMD's, like Iraq being behind the anthrax attacks one week after 9/11, like Iraq having something to do with 9/11 -- these falsehoods which motivated our nation into war were all lies! Why exactly do you think we will "win," when we're finished beating the wrong country to death for the wrong reasons. I doubt if we'll even get the Oil, wh... This is the type of useless discourse that typifies the extremes of both parties. A plague on both your houses. Reality: 1. Acorn was (and is) always threatened with jail for voter fraud - that's the law. 2. If Acorn flagged the fraud and fired people that's what they are supposed to do and they did it. 3. Voter fraud is both serious and easy to catch, it brings discredit on the process and everyone knows it so it is unlikely that the organization condones fraudulent cards. 4. What is more likely is that Acorn's processes encourage fraud by rewarding canvassers for getting lots of people to register and likely for getting democrats to register. Their processes encourage fraud and they sho... Sorry to add some veracity to your clarity, but "being threatened with jail" means that law enforcement actually went in and told you that you were walking a thin line. The existence of the law itself is not a threat. So, in fact, ACORN was not threatened with jail, because the organization obeyed the law. Some of their employees, out of ignorance and greed, attempted to violate the law, but were stopped by the company, as they should be. Saying that ACORN was threatened with jail is just a right-wing talking point (a.k.a. a Lie) As usual, again, it a Republican group (it's leader) who has actually gotten arrested for voter fraud.
