Ah, but how soon we forget about Russia's new MIRV warhead already built and deployment tested. You see, the 'Cold War' never ended. Knocking down a wall in Berlin doesn't count when both sides are still making weapons systems night and day. Wake up call for all you that have been asleep these past years!

Ok, having a cold war is really not desirable but it did keep the peace for many years, and even during the darkest hours of the Cuban missile crisis, there were fortunately some around with enough common sense to avert the looming disaster.

I lived through the whole of the cold war and i have to say that i feel that the world is at far more risk of war than it ever was during the cold war.

Having One country (USA at the moment) sitting with thousands of nuclear warheads , largely unopposed, is inherently dangerous, especially as we have now seen that once you get into the White House it seems that you can do almost anything you wish to.
