GWB needs to learn the history of China and other cultures. Not everyone wants a US model for democracy and because things work here in the US does not mean they will work elsewhere in the world.
Look at Russia's democracy - well pseudo democracy, well almost something like a democracy.

China, India, Middleeast, Russia, etc. are all thousands and thousands of years old in terms of culture and having been through various types of governements - as onnyeung stated - they did once have a democracy - it did not work for their culture -- move on to something new.

Certainly if there are Whacko's ruling a country like in North Korea,Iran, Iraq, etc. those crazies need to be dealth with - but don't condem a whole country based on their leaders (hell if people did that to the US we would be in deep shit -with all the stupid people we have put into leadership rolls over the last 25+ years).
The common people need to decide what they want and not the wealthy, the rich, or the dictators.
