What is GWB doing in Asia? Messing around with his democracy model? Chinese won't buy that! He should have realized his failure when he messed it up in Latin America.

I agree with George. Taiwan IS a very good example of democracy within Chinese culture. Too bad George was just talking rather than actually confronting the PRC.

you are very wrong..... china had democracy in it's long history.. democracy was us after the qing dynasty... but i didn't work...why? good question... you should first learn the history of china before you agree with the democracy thing in china...

GWB needs to learn the history of China and other cultures. Not everyone wants a US model for democracy and because things work here in the US does not mean they will work elsewhere in the world.
Look at Russia's democracy - well pseudo democracy, well almost something like a democracy.
Yes, we helped shift Russia from what it was to what it is. 80% of it however is blackmarket enterprise, mafia (lots of former KGB) and the common people got screwed over. After 20 years there is some shift of the new generation looking at western culture, but still why do they have to Americanize everything.
