Good for you. Even though sarcasm is a (very) distant cousin of irony it can reflect emily's sort of playfulness. To be able to FEEL a funeral is to be alive to the full life available by the collapse of reason. Or, putting it another way, only a person with no poetry in their soul, a literalist, could 'feel' this poem funereal.
