Good move by the judge. Though I personally don't like such a fashion, but what would different between America and Iran if we were to institute such measures? And do I see "town voters" backed this petition? Whoa.

I guess small town conservatives don't respect the Constitution of the United States.

Now they have given even more popularity to wearing them by this stupid ban.

It's simply disgusting. Some young folks are like epatage and offense to the public and have to pay (adequately) for such a pleasure.

I don't dig it either Aklimento, but every generation has some kind of fashion or music that other's don't approve of don't you think? It's just freedom of expression, and heck banning it just increases popularity. A good example would be the practical mainstreaming of tattoo's. Twenty years ago only criminals and those in the navy had tattoo's *LOL*. But look how popular tattooing and piercing have become. Clothing and fashion are extremely important to a lot of people, not only youth. I express myself in different ways by how I choose to dress and I like having the freedom to do so, especially when I'm not at work.

I think, debbyski, all of these are the fashions of ghetto: graffiti, tattoo, rap... Few years ago I saw in some restaurants notice "No baggy pants!" Now pulled down pants. What next? The fashion cannot be humiliating to human nature and dignity, otherwise it's transforming itself into the tool of suppression and oppression.

well our society today is extremely retarded, so it could be okay one day for girls to walk around naked. Oh wait it already is. Its very annoying in school when you are trying to talk to a girl but you can't stare at her head because she wore 'the latest fashion' .

Well, that is a good point Alkimento, and don't get me wrong, I agree with you on one level, but then I guess it's all subjective as to the definition.
@Awesome, I don't know if I would have chosen "annoying" as that particular description, but I've never been in a young man's shoes, so I'll take your word for it. Word of advice: Always make eye contact. You'll become instantly more popular with the ladies.
And hopefully, your school has a dress code

There should be a time and a place for certain fashions though. When I'm in a restaurant and the waitress is wearing jeans with such a low rise that her pubic hair is threatening to peak over the waistband(?) Takes the edge off the appetite. In a grocery store wearing a thong bikini, when someone is dressed(?) like this and they're checking over the fresh fruits and veg between sessions of picking the string out of their crack, well I will go to another store for my produce. There are places where this attire is acceptable not where food is handled.

Wow, it seems to make me even more ravenous!

I'm just teasing . . .
