Because of the legislative branch's desire to usurp the executive branch and assume more power (especially in light of their delusion that the Presidential elections were froth with fraud), these attacks on the executive branch are occurring. The liberals/democrats are asserting/pressing for every minuscule option they can find; regardless of what it does to our Country down-the-road.

I think its the other way around. The Congress is doing what it should have done a long time ago, reassert the balance between the co-equal branches of goverment. Congress should not serve as a rubber stamp service for the President. A little oversight goes a long way, and besides these people are former employees, so they have to obey the subpoenas.


After all it was not Congress who came up with the idea of a Imperial Presidency.

There really isn't an easy answer and impeachment would mean a very unstable political (as if it isn't now) realm. Which given our current standings with the war, and the rest of the world it may not be such a good idea.
