The father immediately asked the boy if he had heard anything, expecting the kid to say "no". But the boy said "yes, I heard them".

Both parents looked shocked and the reporter asked the boy why he didn't answer. The father also asked the boy why he ignored his calls and the boy said "because my dad told me not to answer so that we could get on the show".
