Which part of his statement is not true? It was probably not a politically savvy thing for him to say, but it was intellectually honest.

Actually, there are quite a few hicks that agree with him - my relatives, many of them farmers, are among them. And there's no reason for Obama to loose any sleep over votes those votes he would never get in the first place: the race-baiting, anti-immigration, gun totin' types that misuse religion.
