There are at least two other possible ways to interpret the video.
One is that Olberman and Engel are so stupid they don’t know the truth
about al-Dura. And the other, more likely, possibility is that they
believe that actual physical truth is unrelated to “the news”. In other
words, all life is a metaphor; there is no “reality”. In that case,
they know that Nedda died, al-Dura probably did not, but it doesn’t
matter. What matters is the narrative. And they are composing the
narrative.
“Journalists” are the most powerful people in the world.

No wonder that each Fox News prime time show beats Olbermann.

Who wants to hear him talk about throwing garbage cans through the windows at Starbucks after finishing off a grande mocha frappicino? He's a turd.

The dishonesty in this blog post is staggering.

First, the claim to absolute certainty that the video of Mohammad al-Dura's shooting was faked.

Second, the claim that Olbermann and his guest were aware of accusations the video was faked, and were convinced by them.

Third, the claim that Olbermann and his guest were deliberately implying that the video of Neda Soltan's death was faked as well, and ignoring the fact they were making comparisons about the resonance and effects of these images.

Olbermann is scum, but I am sure he appreciates your support.

The issue is not whether or not I support Olbermann; the issue is there any proof that Olbermann was advocating that the video of Neda Soltan was faked? I see no proof of that in this blog post.

Now if you read my clip title.....there is a ? at the end....
perhaps you will conclude the answer to that ? is no.
The blog outlines varied views of the conversation....you are free to choose yours.

Perhaps I (and others) will arrive at a different conclusion.

On Monday’s Countdown show on MSNBC, as host Keith Olbermann and NBC
News correspondent Richard Engel discussed the apparent murder of
27-year-old Neda Agha-Soltan by Iranian government forces as part of
the crackdown against pro-democracy protesters, and the possibility
that she will become the visual symbol for her country’s pro-democracy
movement because her death was recorded, Engel brought up the
infamous Mohammed al-Dura video clip from September 2000 and claimed
that the Palestinian boy was shot and killed by Israeli troops – as if
this story were not in dispute – even though many who have examined the
case closely over the years believe not only that the boy was not hit
by Isr...

Total B.S. That is not what he said. In fact he said the opposite that the Iranians are coming up with preposterous excuses for Needa's murder.

But then reality has a well known liberal bias.

And that question mark at the end. Yeah I seen Faux News use that before. Wink, wink, nod, nod.

"We are not SAYING that, but you know, there is a possibility that may be, that's what he is implying."

Total Bull.

What are you whining about ....he didn't say what? He DID say exactly what we have him in print saying.

He did not say that it was fake, only discussing the impact of the images. So no, this is not a suggestion of whether it was fake and it was Engels who brought it up not Olbermann. In fact Olbermann speaks of other important situations like what happened in Tienanmen Square.

But you go ahead and stretch that to it's illogical limits.

Again, we have their actual conversation in print. You can cry all you want, doesn't change a thing.

I saw the clip. So what the heck you talking about. Or did you clip a video you didn't see?

You come on this clip and try to claim the conversation (that is now in both print and video) did not happen. It is right before your eyes. Draw your own conclusions and have a nice life.

Talking to you about most anything really usually ends up being a complete waste of time, which is why I usually don't bother, lol

ColoradoRight
always does with liberals. They feel they have the right to make up their own reality - and are you going to believe the voices in your head or your lying eyes?

Yeah, just as I suspected.....all the loonies have started posting their "Neda's murder was fake/she was killed by CIA/aliens/ conspiracy theories coupled with their 9-11 troother shite".....

Barf.

There are a lot of truly mentally ill people on here and I am beginning to understand why many people have stopped posting altogether.
