Setting up a system that allows for wholescale preventative healthcare for all citizens is completely essentials. We're talking about the alleviation of pain and suffering, here. A Healthcare system that forces people, for financial reasons, to only come in for help when they're desperate is inhuman.

Anyone who has any trace of humanity whatsoever, must, per force, come out in support of Universal Healthcare.
