Chuck Baldwin, although not one of my favorite Christian commentators, is right on the money in this article. Bush is no more a Christian than my dog is a cat. Sitting in church will no more make you a Christian than sitting in a hen house will make you a chicken. maybe after being fed up with all kinds of denominations we so habitually use & assign, we will reach to the conclusion that a real Christian as well as a real Muslim as well as a real Jew as well as a real Hindu as well as a real Aborigine, Massai, American Indian, Eskimo etc. - referring solely to this one dares being a real MAN .... !!

It's the universal apology. Anytime one of the holier-than-thou types gets in trouble, that person is characterized as "not a true Christian". Maybe there really is a true Christian somewhere in the world, but who determines the criteria?
