So there isn't a shortage of teachers this week; just last week and next week.
This week there is a shortage of politicians who understand their jobs.

</P><P>GOULBURN Ovens Institute of TAFE teachers will meet with officials from the Australian Education Union (AEU) in Wangaratta today, to discuss the union’s negotiations with the State Government for a new TAFE salary agreement.</p> <P>The AEU has already rejected the initial offer of a 3.25 per cent increase over the next five years on behalf of TAFE teachers across the state.</p> <P>Instead, the union has asked for an increase of 10 per cent over the next three years.</p> <P>AEU deputy vice president Rob Stewart, said the state’s offer is "<B>completely inadequate</B>", with poor pay conditions part of the reason behind the looming shortage in trades teachers in Wangaratta and the North East.</p> <P>"<B>In country areas it’s terribly bad - places like Wangaratta and Wodonga are really struggling to get teachers,</B>" said Mr Stewart.</P></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;">&nbsp;</td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/A00D56D2-8C99-43B6-B608-576151CD6352/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content7.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
