ashleystar says: preach. Amen! I like hemits. good to know. thanks a lot. Especially after reading the full article on the link provided, i m glad to find that there are 16 types of personalities according to Myers-Briggs type indicator and that no personality is the best; that is all are equal. Though introverts are among the most misunderstood persons of the world, yet, they are no less compared to extroverts. every man has some unique capability...that encourages every introvert around here... but.... will they ever shut up? Perhaps the best way to be an introvert is to choose to like people - they sense it when you do. Then you have both your private world and a connected world of people you enjoy. I'm an introvert, but I'm feeling that the article kind of "discriminates" the extroverts and say that being introvert it's better. I wish I liked to spend more time with people and less time alone, caring only for myself and starting to hate myself at moments. I think articles like this tend to slide over to the "Hurray, introverts! Introverts, rah rah rah!" side of things because the rest of the time we usually get the message that as introverts we're weird, odd, out of step with the people around us, possibly untrustworthy, antisocial... any introvert can probably continue this list. I'm highly introverted and am married to someone who's an extreme extrovert. It took years to get him to understand that because I'm an introvert, being around people drains my energy and I need time alone to recharge -- and this is true even if the people in question are dear friends or beloved family. |
