Eaglewings says:
It s really a shame that they would let 23,000 people gather for just about anything as long as it does not preach Jesus. I am glad these young people find something worthwhile to support. Course some may say this is not a worthwhile event but anytime people gather to sing praise to God has to be positive.

Gives me hope for our future and I'm encouraged that these young people are on a right path for stability and happiness in their lives.

is no one disturbed by the use of militaristic language at religious events for young people? in a time when much of the world is accusing america of a new crusade against islam, i think things like this are in very bad taste and send the wrong message to the world, and to our teenagers.

Well, they have pretty much deleted "Onward, Christian Soldiers" from traditional hymnology. And have a look at the words of "A Mighty Fortress". Add to that that another title for God in the Old Testament is "Lord of Hosts (armies) and Jesus Christ returns to execute judgment, with His armies, to the earth.

Try as some might, to be orthodox you can't change Scripture to be more culturally correct.

It amazes me that people think that the only way to be happy is through Jesus.

I'm very happy and I'm a heathenish unbeliever

I'm not against it (well, for the most part), but I just find i frustrating that people think that is the only way.

But then again, as an unbeliever, I just don't get it, do I?

Some perhaps. Alas many on the path of escapism, hypocrisy, and blind loyalty.

And this could be said of anyone who follows anyone about anything. HOWEVER the only time I hear anything negative about people believing something is when they believe in Christ or are Christian. Are you saying that islamic fascist are following in blind loyalty hypocrisy and escapism? How about those who believe in evolution or global warming or Buddism? Are any of these people also blind loyalists of hypocrits? Or are these terms only used for fine young men and women who actually believe that God has a better way then being GAY? Just wondering out loud.
