Silkweaver says:
What do you think? Do you already use some substance -- say, marijuana or a prescription painkiller -- not for how it makes you feel, but how it influences your behavior toward other people? Do you consider this "moral pharmacology"?

This poses a very interesting ethical question. Can pharmacologically induced moral behavior be considered ethical ?

Free will is a pesky thing but it's better off left alone.

Probably there will be a 'free will' pill too... How would you go about that? is augmented free will is free ?
I am claiming here the discovery of the first Pharmacological Paradox.

My initial reaction is, "wouldn't that be a wonderful fixer for the ills of society?". But two things pop out - who determines who is morally bankrupt and how is morality to be defined?

Reminds me of the saying:

"There's so much good in the worst of us,
And so much bad in the best of us,
Who is to say which of us ought to reform the rest of us"
