And wait until wimax steals the show. http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/BF5FC7E7-2B52-4A2B-8BCB-5B6078AA2702/ The concept of Wimax in my mind (and Wibro in Korea or elsewhere) is less relevant, although I am sure if its prove to be good technology it will boom, the issue is how will our life change with the exposure to broadband at home, and of course (and more significant) when we are mobile, that's the real change. Just imagine all the business scenarios that can be developed, for us as content consumers wherever we are, its not only TV (some will argue if you can consume TV on mobile devices), the content will adjust itself, the ads, everything. It will be interesting to observe and to use Absolutely. As a secondary effect, consider politics. I forget the exact stats, but it was noted repeatedly that the majority of internet savvy users voted Kerry in 2004. Whether that was due to being exposed to a wider array of information, or a correlation between lifestyle, educatiopn, and voting trends, I can't say for sure. But it's hard to argue that the general public's information will be increasingly filtered in the traditional sense. Folxsonomies, like clipmarks, will slowly account for more of that filtering. Individuals, through technologies like RSS, will be more in control of what and when they get that information. Yes agree, but I read in an article that if you look for example for old movies and try to see the routes of technology, then in 20 -30 years old movies, you will see the signs of cell phone, but not the Internet, it was new and not predicted technology with huge effect. So what will be the next? i say the next huge effect will be in the energy industry. environmentally friendly, natural, abundant, non-middle east based sources of energy will change everything. Definitely energy. Which may follow suit of the processor ... more efficient, more powerful, and increasingly smaller in size. Tiny solar power panels that fit on cell phones. Microbatteries that fuel nanoprocessors. Small devices that recharge themselves and perform tasks. But then again, to quote Lewis Black's take on all of our generation's advancements in technology ... "No flying cars, no flying cars!" Note to self ... always check who is logged in when using someone else's computer. That last comment was by me. You mean the comment above? But she looks better (just joking). Enjoy yur day yeah, i liked it better when it was from rachel. See Technovelgy clipmark I just put up- Interesting view on inventions and the source of the ideas. Damn, I guess presentation is everything. Do I have to change my profile pic? .... Again skwiril, was this the clip you are talking about.... http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/864FE6CA-393B-4432-B7C4-1278A0E0398E/ |
