Crazyhorse says: Mr. Mossberg's idea is wonderfully hopeful but naive. What is missing from this idea is a recognition and reconciliation of the racist colonial legacy that has driven Israel's development as a state, and which subjected Palestinians to live in a severed patchwork of enclaves. True, and the fact that partition has rarely worked in the long term. Separation breeds further xenophobia, according to my observations. Although sometimes it is necessary in the short term, just to put a halt to the spiraling violence. |
