debbyski says: "I filled the pool several days ago. I have since been browbeaten by Keyes for letting the frog break down. I got no thanks to speak of when I fixed it. I have learned by sitting in the back yard that cats have different drinking styles. Some sip directly from the frog fountain, like Keyes. There is a fastidious gray and white visitor who paws the water for quite some time, cleaning away debris before he leans in to drink. There also a very big cat who perches perilously at the very edge of the ledge and will one day need to be fished out. All is well for the moment. My masters, the felines, will get their backs up when I drain the pool for winter. Until then, I will do my best to be of service and keep out of the way." cats'll do that- Great clip! Even when dependent (for water) cats express their independence> Gotta love them. My sons cat used to climb up the back of my legs and then my back so he could look over my shoulder at the running water. Now he prefers to drink out of a running tap and if he can`t he`ll splash the water up with his paw to drink. My rabbit used to drink out of the pool, no matter how much fresh water I supplied him with. He only fell in once, and swam like a champ. |
