Mel Reyes' Local Install is definitely in my top 5 of FF extensions. It's the first extension that new FF users should install. It makes managing all subsequent extensions much easier and it just does so much more. A must have extension.

Since the release of FF2.0 it seem that there are quite a few finally making the move to the Fox. I really highly recommend that Mr Tech's Local Install as your first extension. It has many useful tools and is, in reality, multiple extensions in one.

The reason for installing it first though, is that it greatly facilitates installation, archiving (very handy when an extension becomes corrupted and needs to be uninstalled and re installed), and making extensions that become "uncompatible" after a Fox update, compatible.
