In many parts of the world, new sources of energy hold the promise of bringing power to people who desperately need it. I expect solar and wind to play a major role in this.

They would be better off using that money to exlore for oil in those countries. Then the poor people in that part of the world would have money to buy food which is costing them twice as much thanks to the well meaning, but haplessly misguided energy policies that are causing global food markets to explode with inflation.
