The last neighbourhood I lived in had a count of 12 - 13 dogs in the six houses I was surrounded by. Each house had not one but two or three dogs. The RSPCA keeps stray dogs for two weeks before they are put to sleep.

I feel sad for the dogs, because people are obviously not being responsible in their "desires" for them. If you want them then you have to be willing to look after them, take them for walks, pick up their poo etc.

The noise factor was something that at times was "maddening" - all the dogs around me would sound out this chorus of yelping, barking that went on for ages and it was LOUD. It was noise pollution.

So I am not surprised by this story. Of course the dogs get blamed.
